Calling All Citizens! – Let Your Voice Be Heard!

Is there something in the way the city is ran that has been grinding your gears? Are you a visionary with a braincage brimming with ideas on how to make our great city even greater? Are there any burning questions that you’ve been dying to have answered, but just haven’t known where to go? Well, have we got good news for you!

The public agents of our city alongside the governmental body, have decided it’s high time to put the megaphone to each citizen’s lips and let their voices be heard! SAMS, LSMPD, SAPR, & the DOJ have all joined forces to host a public event where every single attendee is going to get to voice their feedback and let it be heard; no paperwork, no waiting, just pure response and reaction! Though this event is hosted by the varying agencies that keeps our city running, this is a chance to speak up about how you think the community as a whole could live better, laugh better, and love better.

The event is going to be hosted at City Hall on Saturday, November 15th starting at 5pm EST/10pm GMT, and will be going for quite a while! If you have feedback about businesses, the law, the economy, barbershops, restaurant menus, or anything in the spectrum of what our city provides to the everyday citizen, this event is a must-attend for you! JBTV will also be attending to cover the event and interview the citizens after they’ve finished voicing their opinions, so stay tuned for the update!

Brown Bags Packed with Purpose

Did you know that a school teacher invented the paper bag? He and his brother needed something cheap and efficient to carry their papers and food. Weird combination, right? But it couldn’t stand up on its own, so a lady named Margaret Knight patented a machine in 1871 that cut, folded, and pasted the first flat-bottomed brown paper bags that we still used to this day. And I don’t know about you guys, but there’s something about a classic paper bagged lunch. You remember when you went on field trips in elementary school and half-way through the day, all the teachers would wrangle all the kids together and toss those paper bags at us like raw steaks and we were the ferocious lions in a coliseum. Good times, yeah? Or when you went to the community pool during summer break and your mom (or dad, or aunt, or something like a parental figure) would hand you that brown paper lunch bag that held that coveted ham sandwich and perfectly salty chips. It just hit different on the taste buds after a long day of marco-polo and cannonball competitions....
